New Roofing System
Stio Roofing and Construction can completely tear off your existing roof system or re-roof over the existing roof (if conditions allow). Our trained professionals will evaluate this for you during our property inspection and damage assessment process.

Remove Old Material
Any old materials removed or debris created from the installation is safely placed into sanitation containers to avoid unnecessary messes and to keep the area safe from dangerous debris. We do all we can to make the installation as clean as possible and we recycle as much of the materials as possible. We are a socially responsible company preserving our environment and avoiding waste.

Ice and Water Shield
Once your roof has been prepped for a new roof, one of the first tasks is to install an Ice and Water Shield product. The Ice and Water Shield protects against leakage from ice build up, but it can also offer much needed protection in the most vulnerable areas of your roof.  The Ice and Water Shield protects your new roofing system and gives you the peace of mind knowing that your roof can handle even the worst Minnesota winters.

Felt Paper
Once the Ice and Water Shield has been installed, we place a layer of Felt Paper product on top of that. Stio Roofing and Construction uses a high quality, fiberglass-reinforced felt  This product is superior to standard 15# felt paper because it lays flatter, easier to work with, and most importantly, lasts longer.

Shingles
The next step is to install the shingles.  When choosing a shingle product, it’s important to take into account the style, size, and location of your home; and of course, your personal preferences.  We have years of experience installing all types of asphalt shingles, cedar shakes, and cedar shingles.

Ventilation System
Sealing up your home is important to conserving energy. But equally important is your homes ability to have ventilation. If a home has poor ventilation, problems can occur such as peeling of interior paint, stains on ceilings, or even mold and mildew. A good ventilation system is balanced, with intake (usually under the eaves) and exhaust (usually on or near peak of roof) vents working together to get stale air out and fresh air in. Ridge vents, are an effective ventilation tool and look great, too. Because the vent is covered with shingles, it is hardly noticeable and that adds beauty to the overall appearance of your home.
